Tour Includes:

Professional Great War battlefield historians, translator and tour operator.

a signed copy of Michael Kelly’s “The Hero of the Western Front” and other articles. Also, printed and online tour maps, archival photographs, primary source documents and secondary source materials.

3 or 4-star hotel accommodations.

Rooms:
Tour consists of 4 nights at the Hotel le Tulipier, Rue Saint-Jacques, 1 night in Paris at the Nomad Hotel Roissy, and 2 nights in Amiens at the Moxy. Tour price is based on double occupancy.

Transfers between Paris airport and airport hotel in Paris or Transfer from Ameins to Paris at the conclusion of the tour (some guests may be going to other places).

Trip cancellation/interruption and baggage insurance.

Wines, liquors, a la carte orders, room service, valet/laundry charges; and meals and other items not specifically mentioned as included.

Flights:
Flights are not included in tour costs. When purchasing airline tickets remember that Day 1 is the day you arrive, so schedule your flight accordingly. Before you purchase your airline tickets, please contact us to confirm the recommended time of arrival. Also remember that Historia Expeditions accepts no liability for the purchase of non-refundable airline tickets. We do recommend travel insurance.
What to Expect:
This tour will be a combination of riding (tour bus) and some walking. Please bring comfortable clothing and shoes for the walking portion. There will be at least two longer off-road hikes: approx. two-miles round trip.
The weather in July in France will be mostly warm and dry during the day with an average temperature of 82 degrees. It can, however, get cool at night, possibly dipping into the low 50s. So, bring a jacket, preferably one that is water resistant in case it rains (you never know).
Reservations and Payment Schedule:

To reserve your tour space on the tour, complete the registration form and return via mail it, along with the appropriate deposit(s), to Historia Expeditions 934 Currey Rd., Nashville, TN, 37217.

A deposit of $500 per person is required to reserve your space on the tour. Due before November 15, 2021.

Balance is due 90+ days prior to start of the tour.
Cancellation and Refunds:
A written cancellation is required to process a refund. Mailed, faxed and e-mailed cancellations shall be accepted as written notice (not phone calls, text messages or voicemail). Cancellations received 120 days or more prior to tour departure: $100 cancellation fee. Cancellations received 89-60 days prior to departure: forfeiture of $500 deposit. Cancellations received 59-31 days prior to departure will be charged 50% of the tour cost. No refunds will be issued inside of 30 days of tour start. No refunds for missed meals, hotel nights or museum entrance fees.

Cancellation of tour by Historia Expeditions: Full Refund:
Historia Expeditions reserves the right to decline any person as a participant on a tour, or to require any participant to withdraw from the tour at any time, when such action is determined by the tour operator to be in the best interests of the health, safety or general welfare of the tour group or the individual participant. In such a case, a refund equal to the actual cost of the unused services is the limit of Historia Expeditions’ responsibility.

Historia Expeditions is not responsible for any costs incurred due to travel delays, flight cancellations, or sickness. Historia Expedition’s is not responsible for penalties incurred from the purchase of nonrefundable airline tickets. Should events beyond the control of Historia Expeditions necessitate the cancellation of the program while on tour, a full refund of land costs will be calculated based on the cost of services used up to the time of the group’s return. Also note that motor coaches are non-smoking.

Changes/Modifications to Itinerary:
While every effort will be made to carry out the program as planned, the program is subject to modification and/or change by Historia Expeditions. Please be aware that tour arrangements are scheduled up to a year in advance, and unforeseen conditions may arise that make changes necessary.

A Note About Cost/Currency Fluctuation:
All tour prices are in U. S. dollars and per person, based on double occupancy, unless otherwise noted. Prices are subject to adjustment in the event of international currency fluctuations, fuel increases or any unexpected increase in tour costs, state or local taxes and/or local tariffs.
Travel Insurance:
Historia Expeditions recommends the purchase of travel insurance to cover refunds for last minute cancellation and for emergency medical coverage. Some U. S. medical policies do not cover expenses overseas.
Passports and Visas:
Valid passports are required for all tour participants. Failure to acquire a valid passport may jeopardize your participation in and the forfeiture of part or all of your tour cost.
